Franschhoek Adventure Race 2015

Following the wonderfully tough, Peninsula Adventure Race, in Nov 2014
Energy Events psycho route designers have moved this year’s fun
to the greater Franschhoek wilderness area – BIGGER mountains, more REMOTE,
MORE wine farms and still close to Cape Town.
A 3rd category for the Franschhoek Adventure Race has been added –
50km Peanuts – a navigation challenge. Starts at 8am, you have 4 hours
to locate as many CPs (checkpoints) as you can, using mountain bike and
trail running skills. R250 a head. Pairs and Solos.
Map reading ability will help, but the roads, trails and koppies are fairly obvious.

150km Tough Nuts Pair (R1500)

100km Mixed Nuts Team of 4 (3 guys and a girl) R1950

100km Mixed Nuts Pair (R1000)

50km Peanuts Solo (R250) 50km Peanuts Pair (R500)

Enter as Solo (ONLY 50km), a team of 2 or 4. Entries are Limited.

There are no refunds. If you can not take part you must find a substitute for your entry. Roll-overs are valid for 1 year ONLY and substitutions do not apply.

Race Rules

Seconds are compulsory:

They will be driving your equipment ahead to your transition points in preparation for the next leg. Maps for each leg will be handed over to participants only at the start of that specific leg.

Boats:

Crocs – easy navigation. If you do not have your own, one can be rented. E-mail us to request one
